Today for their fun activity, they went to bowling alley. I was wondering how long of a walk it was...it's a mile.

It looks like they had fun - apparently Kai does not use any assistance in getting the ball down the lane. Maybe this becomes our sport.

Today I went to Waukesha to work with some colleagues. I was most interested to learn how to fly a drone. However, with the Republican National Convention starting next week, we quickly learned that we can't fly a drone anywhere near Milwaukee. I don't now the exact radius, but it appears to be 30 miles from downtown Milwaukee.

Good thing my friend Mike was okay driving out west to get out of the zone. We drove to the parking lot of the Concord Zoo outside of Oconomowoc to see the drone in action. The zoo was free, so we couldn't pass it up. They had pigs, chickens, peacocks, ponies, alpaca, goats, etc.

two goats - and maybe you can see the peacock on the roof

It looked like there was a military aircraft doing to some serious reconnaissance in Milwaukee today.

When explaining what is happening in Milwaukee next week, Heid explained that a lot of the important people that are sometimes on TV are going to be there to help decide who they want to be president. Kai asked if "that hypocrite Tammy Baldwin" was going to be there. It was kind of funny he mentioned it, since he must have seen an ad on YouTube. No, Tammy Baldwin is in a different party, and won't be there next week.

At home, he had wanted to spend a lot of time under the bridge again trying to dig out that rock. I'm good with freeform play. They were here for probably more than an hour. I gave them some tools to help them dig.

the rock is stubborn and remains under the bridge

They biked home in the sunset.

Today is the day. When I went to wake him, he said he was pretending to get an x-ray, which is what they use those heavy lead blankets for. ...
