The first thing we learned today is that Kai's 1st grade teacher is Ms. Gaffaney. She has been a teacher for 22 years. We think they'll have a great year together. It is the same teacher our neighbor (Charlie) and our next door neighbor Ardro will be Kai's classmate this year.

Our adventure today took us to Sheboygan. The temperature at Kohler-Andrae State Park was about 70 degrees. Almost perfect for just relaxing as it was not hot or cold.

After two hours at Kohler-Andrae, we went to Bookworm Gardens. We got there around 2:45, so we had two hours to see as much as we could.

The gardens has a bunch of themes that relate to books.

We then went to Meijer to do some back-to-school shopping. They took out all the changing rooms, so we just tried on clothes in the store.

At Panera on the way back home, we had a quick dinner. Then in true fashion, Kai wanted to tell the restaurant staff how pleased he was with the texture of their chairs. They were so happy he shared that feedback with them.
