Today's post will be mostly about the piano move from Schaumburg to Middleton.

At night, we went to Epic to just walk around. It was a nice, calm evening.

Today is the first day in a long time that we've needed a coat for school. Their field trip today was to Orchid Heights Park. If there was a park that would like in my backyard, it is this one.

The park is somewhat near Pheasant Branch, so it has a good mix of playground and nature.

 I think they did a hike here - Kai was not sure, so I'm just assuming.

I'm noticing many of the kids use the peace sign - they are the reason Kai has been doing it lately

While he's been at summer school this week, we've been busy rearranging and cleaning for the piano arriving tomorrow.

After school, he was playing with these magnetic people.

You can also make a nice crown with them.

Tomorrow he has a pizza party at school. After that, the plan is to get him so he can see the piano arrive.

Not much to report today.

They went to the Cross Plains location. Their activity was to do some "pond dipping." Because it looked like it would rain all day (it didn't), they didn't partake in the activity. We may never know what "pond dipping" is. Even when looking online, the perception of what it is is all over the place.

Here is the only picture I have from the day. It was a quick picture before pick up. We'll see if they share any pictures of the day on the Procare app.

Today was a bit all over the place. It continues to be quite hot and humid, meaning we spend more time inside.

The Olympics continue, but today is the day the guy from my hometown runs. He made it to the finals of the Men's 100m.

He was the last one to qualify in this field, but didn't finish last. He is the runner at the top.

He will be running the relay race later this week. He was in the Tokyo Olympics, so this might be it for him.

At lunch this afternoon, we had a visitor. I'm hoping animals wandering from the retention pond across to street to our yard is not a trend.

Kai had a late lunch today. I made him the pretzels from a few days ago. He put butter on the top and started eating. Then he freaked out when he saw blood on the pretzel - I knew it was from a top tooth that had been bugging him. I then cut up the pretzel into smaller pieces, but didn't serve him the parts with the blood on it.

In the evening as I was putting plates in the dishwasher, I heard something when I moved his plate. I thought it was small LEGO piece that somehow got on his plate. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a tooth. It was the tooth that put blood on his pretzel. He didn't realize the tooth had come out. I feel lucky to have found the tooth. It could have easily ended up on the sink.

He lost his other front tooth on April 21, meaning the other tooth hung on for 105 more days.

Today is the first day in a long time without swimming or a birthday party. The first real thing on our list was gymnastics.

He has always liked hanging in rings - and then he likes the sudden dismount.

Then rolling backwards over the "hot dog," he had a much better landing on his next time through - that was not filmed.

We tried showing him the women's gymnastics final from last Thursday, but he fell asleep. That meant he would be up later, so we went for a bike ride.

It was too dark to play under the bridge, so they settled for the playground.

They did decide to go to the bridge, just to check it out. It was a bit graffitied. I will send in a form to let the city know. At least the graffiti didn't have any bad words that I needed to explain.

I gave him Heidi's bike light so he would have fun shining the path home.

Pictures all across the day today.

From summer school in Cross Plains, here is a sack race. I'm not sure if he's ever done one of these before. 

During the daytime, I went to Costco - Halloween is full steam ahead.

I made this pop up card for my sister's birthday this month - should take a quick picture before it gets sent off in the mail. It is one of the better ones I've made.

After school, he wanted his photo taken with this. We had to leave earlier than normal, so all of his friends were still there.

Elinor made him this mask.

At 5PM was Heidi's work picnic. Last year they had a magician as entertainment, this year it was face painting.

He didn't want to tell us what he wanted drawn - he only told the painter, but it didn't take her long.

Then he saw someone else hide inside, so he tried it too.

These walls are a little to inviting for climbers.

Velcro darts was also fun. Of course, they took the game to a different area than originally intended.

Today was Zoozort day (yeah, I had no idea what to expect either). I was initially thinking it was going to be outdoors for the entire morning, and perhaps I could sneak over there for a little bit. However, it ended up being indoors for 35 minutes.

After that, I knew they were going to Fireman's Park and then the pool. Since it is a short bike ride over, and I missed Zoozort, I decided to meet them for lunch.

On the bike ride back, I thought I'd take the picture of the duplex, it has a roof now.

Tomorrow they go back to Cross Plains for the 3rd time this week.
