52

After a little time of playing at home in the morning, it was time for swimming. He is doing well and getting compliments for his technique from his instructor, Miss Marie.

At gymnastics he is enjoying the rings and hanging in general. It was the same lesson as last Monday, but at least now we are caught up on lessons we have paid for.

The best part about The Little Gym today is we reconnected with an old Kindermusik family from 2019. I recognized the two parents, and kept my ears open if I could hear them mention the name "Eleanor" - because the parents looked familiar, and there was a girl named Eleanor in Kindermusik in the past.

She is the one on the middle right with the pacifier in her mouth.

Of course, Eleanor is all grown up, and I spoke briefly with the parents and showed them the picture from 2019. It was their first visit to The Little Gym, and they were thrilled that I remembered them. The parents are both physicians and we kind of lost them during the pandemic. They said they remembered Kai.

We could have stayed longer to talk, but we had Wesley and Charlie's half birthday parties to attend.

Their backyard has a slight hill and they had a slip and slide. Kai was not really interested in getting wet, but I did get a picture of him and Charlie.

Charlie and Wesley have winter birthdays, so the parents throw them a summer half-birthday party. They got cards and presents, which we didn't expect. Regardless, it was fun.

Inside, Kai played with some other neighborhood boys on the LEGO table for about an hour. It's what he likes to do.

I don't think he wanted this picture taken here

Today is the day. When I went to wake him, he said he was pretending to get an x-ray, which is what they use those heavy lead blankets for. ...
